Before I get started, I want to be sure you check out the video at the end. In addition to our pictures, Tommy put together a walking tour.
We finally received our household goods about a month and a half ago. It was a welcome delivery as we were way over all of the loaner furniture!
This is the view from our front door. Directly on the right, but not visible is the downstairs bathroom/laundry room (no pictures of that) On the left is the doorway to the kitchen. The doors you see are for the hall closet. not real wide, but pretty deep.
This is what it looked like before our stuff got there, pretty sad and lonely.
If you were to turn into the kitchen from where you were standing in the previous picture, this is the view of the kitchen. Not real big, but pretty functional. There is a decent amount of storage, but not nearly enough counter space!
If you didn't turn after walking in the door, just past the hall closet is the stairway. There is a landing halfway up and then you turn and go the opposite direction the rest of the way up.
This is a picture of the living room with the loaner furniture. It was uncomfortable, not enough and ugly. Not to mention it did nothing for the echo.
We had one other table which was directly across from where Sam is laying on the couch. It held a TV a friend had loaned us. To the left of Tommy, the white is actually curtain panels that slide open to reveal a door to the backyard.
This is after, as seen from the dining room. Much nicer!
Here is a view from over by the backyard door, obviously looking back into the dining room. If you look just past the table, there is a wooden door open, that is the other entryway to the kitchen.
This picture is kind of blurry, but you can get an idea of what the dining room was like before, that is another wall with sliding curtain panels and a door to a small patio.
And here it is after, from the living room....
and from the kitchen.
This one is kind of dark, but you can get an idea. This is the kitchen as you see it from the dining room door. To the right is the refrigerator, and to the left is a good sized pantry.
One more picture from downstairs....
This is Sam in our "Harry Potter" closet. It is in the downstairs bathroom and under the stairs. It is actually a really big closet. We have filled it up pretty good, but it fits a lot of those large plastic totes for storage. Thank goodness, because the little outdoor storage area we have wouldn't be nearly enough!
I will leave you with just the downstairs for now. I have before pix for upstairs, but haven't gotten after.
Here is a walking tour that Tommy put together. Enjoy, and welcome to our Italian home!
